Another day another bruise.

Avery managed to give herself this beauty while in her crib unattended. Her crib is incredibly boring. It contains one baby, one blanket and one pacifier. I suppose she pulled herself up and had a run-in with the top rail.

Naughty Avery

This is what she tries to watch when I'm out of the room. She turned this on and then took the batteries out of the remote.

Outside our house

Nick was the mulch master and I was the destroyer of roses. Some people "prune" roses. I chop them down until they are 3 inches tall. You can't see the rose stumps in the picture, but the yard looks nice!

We partake in the act of gardening about three times a year. Today was the first of 3 this year.

Bathroom is done!

Our bathroom is still small and will never be featured on HGTV, but I like it.

We hung the towel rack ourselves and I am sewing cotton loops on all of the towels. I am not a fan of towel bars for a couple of reasons. #1: They take up a lot of room and #2: They don't last long with the aspiring trapeze artists in my house.

Draw Something Fail

Bailey expects me to guess this bull crap??

New bathroom progress

We contacted a bathroom remodeler guy before Thanksgiving to fix up our crapper. He said we had to wait until "after the holidays". We waited until after Christmas, the New Year, Martin Luther King Day, Valentines Day, Presidents Day, Easter and Dyngus Day. Our project got put on the back burner for a $40,000 job. The guy has a reputation for working fast once he gets started.

He called yesterday and asked if he can start at 11am today. I got up at 7am to clean out the bathroom and get things tidy. Three men are in my driveway at 8:30am. I was shocked and unprepared. Luckily, I showered and dressed.

It is 1:12pm and Bailey (who is on Spring Break) and I are stuck in the living room while the rest of our house is blocked by toilets, vanities and stacks of tile. Avery is sleeping through, pounding, tile cutting sawing and talking. I am thankful she is so sleepy today. Those guys are working right outside her bedroom door. The tile saw is outside her window. It is a remodeling miracle.
