Weekend

Here are a couple pictures from the weekend.  Bailey has declared her favorite ride at Kings Island is the Banshee. She even wanted a picture in front of it.  Bailey has been very interested in amusement parks and roller coasters lately.  She even has been working on a PowerPoint Presentation comparing Kings Island to Cedar Point. 

Avery wanted to apply her own sunscreen at the softball game today.  She had a thick, white layer all over.  A little girl told me her mom rubs her sunscreen in for her.  

Bailey's softball team is pretty talented.  They are undefeated and won their game 21-1. I watched the game from behind a dugout wall.  The sun was painfully intense but we survived.

Avery is a sick little girl.  Nick went to a baseball game with Bailey and I'm home trying to decide if Avery's vacant stare is her exhaustion or another vomit trying to escape.  

I'll admit, she is quite cute even when she is sick.  

I got a new (to me) phone which means I can blog again!  Softball season starts tomorrow.  Maybe Bailey will agree to a photo and I will post twice in a week.  

Things are okay lately.  Bailey's school year is wrapping up, Avery will be 3 in a few weeks.  The girls and I are making use of our Kings Island season passes and have been there for the past few Sundays while Nick works.  Bailey is riding the big roller coasters and Avery is up for anything she is tall enough to ride.

Winter Fun

Here are the kids this weekend enjoying the mild weather and the snow on the ground.  Bailey went skiing and Avery went sledding.  This winter has been decent to us down here in Cincinnati.

Homework

Cute conversation between Avery and Bailey.  Bailey was annoyed, but I thought it was cute.  They were both sitting at the dining room table doing homework.  Bailey had real homework and Avery was scribbling on junk mail.  Bailey thinks it is awful that I "let Avery think homework is fun".

Avery:  You got homework?
Bailey:  Yes.
Avery:  I got homework!  I draw my hand print.
Bailey:  Great.
Avery:  You got 2 homeworks Bailey?
Bailey:  Yes.
Avery:  You got cool homework?
Bailey:  No.  My homework is stupid.  Can you say "stupid homework?"
Avery:  Stupid homework!

"You have big boobies.  I have little boobies.  (Pulls up shirt) Ho Ho Ho bring me big boobies."

January Update

It has been a few months!  It is hard to post to a blog when nothing particularly interesting is going on.

Here I go!

Bailey:  Bailey is playing on the "select" 5th grade basketball team.  Her team is doing very well and is winning a ton.  Bailey's grades are good at her new school.  She is joining the Bowling club this semester and is looking forward to softball season.

Avery:  Avery is 2 1/2 and starting to talk quite a bit.  She likes going to daycare and is still a sweetheart.  She has her "redhead" days but could not be any cuter.  Today was one of those awful days, but she had zero bathroom accidents so I forgive her.

Nick:  Nick is enjoying living near family.  He plays in a pick-up basketball league once a week.  Nick and Avery get to spend every Friday at home together.  They usually go mall walking with Grandpa Bill.

Sarah:  I'm still trying to figure out what I'm doing at work.  I'm coming up on my one year anniversary.  I'm proud of my year and I think I'm getting the hang of things.  At the end of this month I have an assessment from the CDC.  I will know how I did in a couple months.

Halloween pictures.

I've been neglecting my blog lately.  I've been neglecting myself and a whole lot more.  But, my kids are beautiful!

Avery dressed as a superhero and Bailey was Satan for Halloween. The girls had a good time trick or treating in Milford with family.  I love love this picture of Avery with her "baby pumpkin".

Here is Bailey's 5th grade school picture.  Her teeth and a smile.  Awesome.

Since Bailey had such a nice picture, I realized I haven't had Avery's picture taken lately.  This is what we came up with.  I can't get over how pretty Avery's hair is.  This was post-nap and she looks so nice!

My kids are beautiful.  Work is going well.  Summer is over.  I'm happy.
