Bailey and I are at Target today browsing the aisles of stuff we aren't there to buy. Bailey wants to buy some trading cards and a stuffed toy from the Toy Department. I say "No, don't even think about asking me again. Absolutely not. No No No. Put it back on the shelf. " She stomped her foot and put the items back on the shelf in a huff. That was the end of that.
Next, she wanted to go to the Trading Card Aisle. And I repeat: "No, don't even think about asking me again. Absolutely not. No No No. " She stomps her foot and proceeds to the checkout in a huff.
Now we hear a kid throwing the mother of all tantrums. Bailey was dying to watch, but we could not figure out where the screaming was coming from. It seemed to come at us from all directions. Surreal.
Bailey wants more crap from the check out candy shelf. I say: "No, don't even think about asking me again. Absolutely not. No No No. Put it back on the shelf. "
The tantrum continues and somehow follows us out to the parking lot where we see the stressed out Dad with his devil spawn. I wanted to give that poor Dad a hug, but that would be inappropriate.
I commend Bailey for her relatively good behavior and for not throwing an all-out tantrum and embarrassing me when she repeatedly asks me for everything in the store with the exception of tampons and Preparation H.
Then she asks me for a reward for her exceptional behavior.
"No, don't even think about asking me again. Absolutely not. No No No. "
